Reliable Diagnostics
 In addition to animal feed-related services, DSM has also introduced animal and human disease management initiatives.
Two diagnostic tests have been introduced under the Premi®Test brand name:
- Premi®Test: Medicines given to poultry, whether by injection or through their feed, can leave residues in their muscle, kindey or liver tissue. These residues could enter the human body through our food. Concerns on this issues have fuelled the demand for a test to ensure that only safe products enter the food chain. Premi®Test facilitates on-site screening by e.g. cattle farmers and slaughter houses, simply by taking a sample of the fluid of the meat.
- Premi®Test Salmonella measures and identifies more than 100 Salmonella serotypes in one test. Salmonella control throughout the food chain is a key concern for modern food manufacturers; egg producers and processors play a vital role in this. Premi®Test Salmonella uses revolutionary technology and is also simple to use.
