Egg processors, egg packers, slaughterhouses and other food companies can benefit from the cut protection offered by gloves made with Dyneema® fibers. The gloves are recognized for their outstanding performance on:

  • Cut resistance: cut resistance properties in protective gloves are a prerequisite. When used in the food processing industry, Dyneema® yarns are easily combined with glass or steel fiber to reach the highest level of cut resistance.
  • Cost efficiency: Dyneema® is in a league all of its own. Gloves made with Dyneema® fiber last much longer than those made with leather, cotton or aramids, which adds up to major long term cost savings! Besides, Dyneema® fiber can be laundered without shrinking and even sterilized for extended lifetime.
  • Comfort: Dyneema® disperses heat four times faster than aramids, cotton and leather, ensuring that gloves feel dry and comfortable. Next to this, Dyneema® is able to bend and move in a very flexible way. Together with the yarn's smoothness, this feature contributes to the high dexterity of gloves made with Dyneema®.

DSM is not a glove maker, but we do work very closely with the entire value chain: from end-user companies to glove manufacturers. Our fibers are used among others in the automotive industry, paper & pulp industry, aviation industry and the food processing industry. The use of Dyneema® yarn has been approved according European and North American Food legislations.
